In this talk, Kate Bitz will discuss the history of conspiracy theories in the United States, including their roots in antisemitism and racism. Then, she’ll discuss the origins of the QAnon conspiracy theory, its international spread and its effects on democracy, as well as the risks it poses to community safety.
