This year, for the first time in the history of Greenmotions, we are bringing a special program for children over 5 years old. The program consists of a session of five short films which lasts about 50 minutes. All in all, the screening will take about 90 minutes, including moderation breaks and an introduction to film criticism.
We offer two sessions:
- on Saturday 11.11.2023 at 10:15 a.m. in the main cinema room
- on Sunday 12.11.2023 at 3:30 p.m in the gallery
The protagonists of the animated shorts inform children about sustainability by finding solutions to protect the environment.
Presentation of the short films:
- Bo and trash: Our planet is choking in garbage. Bo the dog, a brave chemist, invents a magical solution which can overcome this dreadful trash monster. Risking his life, he sets out to save wild beasts and birds, and they respond by helping him in his quest.
- What´s up in the sky: The sun rises happily over the horizon. The humans also wake up and do what they always do: cut down trees, construct aimlessly and pollute. Their ideas and actions are putting in jeopardy the whole environment. What they do not realize, is that whatever they do, it will affect them sooner or later.
- The menace from above: In the shallow waters of the Red Sea, a happy-go-lucky fish is forced to set out on a journey to save the sea creatures from the soulless monster before it kills all life underwater.
- In the name of plants: An explorer lands by parachute in a very mineralized zone. Walking through it, his interest is in specimens that have been able to adapt to this seemingly hostile environment : wild sidewalk plants…
- Footprints in the forest: Iman, a rare young Sumatran rhino embarks on a daring journey through the intimidating jungle after the harrowing loss of her mother to the poachers.
Kinderprogramm
Dieses Jahr bieten wir zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte von Greenmotions ein spezielles Programm für Kinder ab 5 Jahren an. Das Programm besteht aus einer Sitzung mit fünf Kurzfilmen, die etwa 50 Minuten dauern. Insgesamt wird die Vorführung inklusive Moderation und einer Einführung etwa 90 Minuten dauern.

- Bo and trash: Unser Planet erstickt im Müll. Bo, der Hund, ein mutiger Chemiker, erfindet eine magische Lösung, um dieses schreckliche Müllmonster zu besiegen. Er riskiert sein Leben und macht sich auf die Suche nach wilden Tieren und Vögeln, die ihm daraufhin bei seiner Suche helfen.
- What’s Up in the sky: Die Sonne geht fröhlich über dem Horizont auf. Auch die Menschen wachen auf und tun das, was sie immer tun: Bäume fällen, ziellos bauen und die Umwelt verschmutzen. Ihre Ideen und Handlungen gefährden die gesamte Umwelt. Was sie nicht erkennen, ist, dass alles, was sie tun, früher oder später Auswirkungen auf sie haben wird.
- The menace from above: In den flachen Gewässern des Roten Meeres muss sich ein unbekümmerter Fisch auf eine Reise begeben, um die Meeresbewohner vor dem seelenlosen Monster zu retten, bevor es alles Leben unter Wasser tötet.
- In the name of plants: Ein Forscher landet mit dem Fallschirm in einer stark mineralisierten Zone. Bei seinem Spaziergang gilt sein Interesse den Exemplaren, die sich an diese scheinbar lebensfeindliche Umgebung anpassen konnten: wilde Gehwegpflanzen …
- Footprints in the forest: Iman, ein seltenes junges Sumatra-Nashorn, begibt sich nach dem schrecklichen Verlust ihrer Mutter durch die Wilderer auf eine waghalsige Reise durch den einschüchternden Dschungel.
