🎬Shathaya Movie Series on South Lebanon and KüFa - fundraiser
🗓️ Thursday, November 12
🕕 Start at 6 p.m.
📍 KTS Freiburg (Basler Straße 103 | Freiburg)
Shathaya (Fragments) is a woman-led participatory project based in Lebanon that brings together filmmakers and image-producers to explore the relationship between image, memory, and witnessing within the specific context of the Israeli war on Lebanon since 2023 until the present. This project included a collaborative workshop with the production of short films, in which young women from South Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut create their own video "fragments" using personal objects, testimonies, and archival material.
We warmly invite you to a solidary communitiy kitchen after the screening. We will prepare a vegan lentil soup with fried Lebanese bread 🍲
❤️ SfP Freiburg welcomes everyone to join the screening of these short films and invites people to donate money that goes to a Lebanese grassroots organization, helping displaced people in Lebanon ❤️
