Risa Takeda
Pianist, drummer, and composer. Born in Hokkaido, began studying classical piano at age 3 and started playing drums at age 19. Moved to Tokyo in 2011. Discovered the fascination of producing sounds spontaneously through an opportunity for improvisation, and has since been deeply immersed in improvised performance.
From around 2014, began incorporating synthesizers and electronic instruments into performances, freely constructing music ranging from ambient and noise to progressive rock.
Highly regarded for the ability to instantly summon the exact sounds that feel necessary in the moment, and has performed over 100 improvised concerts per year with various musicians, in Japan and since 2020 also in Europe.
She did various performances with Mani Neumeier (Guru Guru)
Their concert of 2021 at Tokyo’s Jirokichi-Club has been recorded and is available as CD and streaming/download.
Risa’s work explores the boundary between experimental music and pop.
Her solo albums *Pandora* (2018), *Metéôros* (2019), and *Parallel World* (2024), all released on My Best! Records.

Risa Takeda, Piano, Schlagzeug und Komposition.
Geboren in Hokkaido, begann er im Alter von 3 Jahren klassisches Klavier zu lernen und im Alter von 19 Jahren Schlagzeug zu spielen.
2011 zog sie nach Tokio - entdeckte die Faszination, Klänge spontan durch die Gelegenheit zur Improvisation zu erzeugen, und ist seitdem tief in die improvisierte Darbietung vertieft.
Seit 2014 begann sie Synthesizer und elektronische Instrumente in Auftritte zu integrieren und Musik frei zu konstruieren, die von Ambient und Noise bis hin zu Progressive Rock reichen. Hochgeschätzt für die Fähigkeit, sofort genau die Klänge hervorzurufen, die man im Moment braucht hat sie über 100 improvisierte Konzerte pro Jahr mit verschiedenen Musikern gegeben - in Japan und seit 2020 auch in Europa.
Ihre Arbeit erforscht die Grenze zwischen experimenteller Musik und Pop.

Zeus B. Held played keyboards, sax and things with the German group Birth Control for 6 years as well as writing all the music for Gina X Performance.
He produced albums by Dead or Alive, Transvision Vamp, Men Without Hats, Nina Hagen and more.
Seit 2020 ist er auch mit "Guru Guru" live unterwegs.
