Der Stühlinger Kirchplatz in Freiburg wird von der Polizei, der wichtigsten regionalen Zeitung BZ bis hin zum Oberbürgermeister als "Gefährlicher Ort" bezeichnet. Tagtägliche Polizeikontrollen, ständige Razzien und Inhaftierungen sind die Folge.
Wann immer Personen, die sich häufig auf dem Stühlinger Kirchplatz aufhalten, danach gefragt werden, ob und was für Probleme es dort gibt, kommt die Antwort: ständige und massive, oftmals offen rassistische Kontrollen durch die Polizei.
Wie haben sie(die betroffenen Personen?die Personen, die am Stühli abhängen?) die Entwicklung der letzten Jahre erlebt? Fühlen sie sich sicher?
Mithilfe des Labeling Approach soll im Workshop „Gefährliche Orte & Racial Profiling“ aufgezeigt werden, wie es zu dieser Bezeichnung von Orten kommen kann und was für Auswirkungen das für die Menschen hat, die sich an diesen Orten aufhalten.
Am Ende des Workshops soll Raum für ein Gespräch aller Anwesenden sein. Dabei ist insbesondere Platz für Gedanken und Wünsche an eine diskriminierungsarme und inklusive Stadt. Diese wiederum können Anstöße sein für eine widerständige Praxis rund um die Reihe Feminist City- Stadt für alle?!.

Paula Fig, linksradikale Aktivistin und Juristin, hat sich in den letzten Jahren mit der Polizeipraxis der Gefährlichen Orte und Rassismus durch staatliche Institutionen auseinandergesetzt. Als Weiße Cis-Frau ist sie selbst nicht betroffen von Rassismus.

Whenever people who frequently spend time on the Stühlinger Kirchplatz are asked if and what kind of problems there are, the answer comes: constant and massive, often openly racist controls by the police.

With the help of the labeling approach, the workshop "Dangerous Places & Racial Profiling" will show how places can be labeled in this way and what effects this has on the people who spend time in these places.
At the end of the workshop, there will be room for a conversation among all those present. In particular, there will be room for thoughts and wishes for a city that is inclusive and free of discrimination. These in turn can be impulses for a resistant practice around the series Feminist City- City for all?!!.

Paula Fig, radical left activist and lawyer, has spent the last several years addressing police practices of Dangerous Places and racism by state institutions. As a white cis woman, she has not been affected by racism herself.
