There is no path to peace; peace is the path.” (Mahatma Gandhi)

Mohandas K. Gandhi was one of the most influential figures of the 20th Century. He was an international statesman who vouched for peace and non-violence not only in the Indian freedom movement but also in the other Asian and African nations in the
clutches of disparity, depravity and poverty due to expansionist approach of the Colonial Countries.

On Sunday October 2nd 2022 (Gandhis birthday), join us in person or online for a screening of a brand-new documentary produced by the Society for Empowerment, entitled Mahatma Gandhi in Folksongs. The film (30 mins, in Hindi, Gujurati, Manipuri, and tribal languages, with English subtitles) showcases the tradition of oral songs which have recorded details of Gandhis life and teachings.

Following the screening, Gandhian experts (including Professor Prem Anand Mishra, Ahmedabad, and Ravi Medhankar, President, International Buddhist Mission) will discuss how Gandhi can help us create a more peaceful world in the conflict-ridden con-
temporary moment.

This event is an initiative of the Society for Empowerment, based in Bihar, India, the Land of Lord Buddha, Lord Mahavir and Peace.
