Workshopraum

For more than a year, a very broad-based protest movement in
Serbia has been fighting the authoritarian Vučić regime. It is
astonishing to see the perseverance with which the protesters are
maintaining political pressure. We have invited three activists from
Belgrade to discuss the tactics and strategies of the Serbian protest
movement with us. It is obvious that we can learn a lot from the Serbs
when we see how quickly the enormous energy for mobilization has
fizzled out here, for example after the AfD's so-called “remigration”
meeting.

We will take time for this on Saturday, February 21. We want to discuss
in a small group (maximum 30 people) with Raša Nedeljkov, Nikolina
Sinđelić, and Stevan Filipović where our struggle against the
authoritarian formation of society overlaps with that in Serbia and
what we can learn from the learning processes in Serbia that we can
also apply here. We have the workshop room on the Grethergelände
available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We are planning two two-hour
discussions with an hour's lunch break in between. And we would like
you to join us: people who are active in civil society organizations
and who oppose the new authoritarianism – and who believe that they can
learn something from the discussion with our guests and among
themselves.

Please note: For practical reasons, the discussion will be held in
English. There will be no translation.
