Roles of migrant organisations and local partners in creating perspective for young women and men in Nigeria using permaculture
„What are the dreams and wishes of young Africans with regard to improving their living conditions? What demands do we make on politics?“
„How are colonisation, flight and causes of flight related?“
How migrant volunteers support refugees during coronavirus crisis.
We want to explore and answer these and many other questions.
The 6th African Culture and Democratic Dialogue will give people from the global South and the global North the opportunity to connect, discuss and exchange ideas. We will talk about various actions that are currently underway and exchange ideas that may help to create perspectives for African refugees in Brandenburg and for young people in Africa.
Among other things, the permaculture project in Nigeria and its current status will be presented by Dr. Titilayo Ajuwon. David Afreh from Ghana will talk about flight and the reasons for flight and Fatuma Musa Afrah will deal with the topic of colonialism and its influence on migration.
Furthermore Golden Okwuosa will turn our attention to the topic of how refugees in Germany can improve their financial situation and Geraldine Mua Ikia will create a picture of how the health of women and children in refugee shelters looks like in the Corona period.
Students and refugees are invited to exchange views on their participation in political developments and the expectation of a better world they wish for. Newly founded migrant organisations will have the opportunity to network with other migrant organisations and local NGOs for future partnership.
Due to the corona pandemic, this year's event will take place virtually on the Internet. Cagintua e.V. cordially invite you! Let us get in touch with each other and work together for a better future
