Das Polizeipräsidium in Frankfurt ist nur eine der Wachen, die seit 2014 immer mehr Aufwand bei der Identitätsfeststellung von politisch Aktiven betreiben mussten. Innerhalb weniger Jahre verbreitete sich diese Praxis nicht nur innerhalb der Klimabewegung, sondern wird inzwischen auch in anderen sozialen Bewegungen angewandt. Anlass für uns, diese Strategie u.a. anhand folgender Fragen näher zu beleuchten:
Welche Motivationen für Identitätsverweigerung gibt es? In welchen Aktionsfeldern kann sie Sinn machen, in welchen nicht? Auf welche Konsequenzen sollte mensch sich einstellen und vorbereiten? Welche Rechte hat mensch anonym in Polizeigewahrsam und Knast und wie werden diese tatsächlich umgesetzt? Was sind die persönlichen und politischen Risiken bei der ID-Verweigerung?

The police department in Frankfurt is just one of the patrols that since 2014 have increasingly put effort into identifying political activists. Within a few years, this practice spread not only within the climate movement, but is now also applied in other social movements. The following questions, among others, give us reason to examine this strategy in more detail:
What motivations are there for refusing identity? In which fields of action can it make sense, and in which not? What consequences should one prepare oneself for? What rights do people have to remain anonymous in police custody and how are these actually implemented? What are the personal and political risks of ID refusal?
