In October 2023, Flink unexpectedly closed its Hub in Freiburg. Ca. 60 riders and pickers suddenly became unemployed. Workers believed the company shut down its Freiburg Hub to prevent a Works Council, which would have been elected 3 days before the closure. Flink claimed, however, that the Hub was unprofitable and that the rent was too expensive.
Despite this, in 2024 the company continued to occupy its non-operational premises in Freiburg. Now, Flink has reopened in the city. In a further twist, the company refuses to hire any of its former workers. These developments leave the union busting, anti-Works Council motives behind Flink’s actions beyond reasonable doubt.
The disregard of Flink - a billion-Euro company – towards its workers and German labour law should be opposed. Join our protest on February 15th between Novotel and the blue bridge.
We call for solidarity.
We demand our jobs back. We demand justice.
