Come and tell stories from your life in small groups (all languages welcome), hear incredible stories from people you've never met and then listen to the Indian-Scottish storyteller Gauri Raje. Who is Ahalya? A princess? A scholar? Or an adulteress needing redemption? She is theforemost of the Panchakanyas - five women in the Hindu epics known to be virginal, pure and powerful. But in the battle of desires and words between men and gods, what does Ahalya’s voice sound like? Gauri Raje is a migrant, storyteller and anthropologist based in Scotland and India. She is fascinated by myths and their power to hold community memories, and has been increasingly working with the ways in which stories allow migrants to create a relationship with the land they settle in. The event will be held in English. The evening will be hosted by the storytellers Kathinka Marcks and Ami Kal. They help you to choose stories from your life and support you in sharing them with others. „zusammen erzählen“ findet viermal jährlich am Donnerstag statt und ist eine Kooperation von Nomadische Erzählkunst e. V. und zusammen leben e. V. , gefördert von Kulturamt Freiburg, Amt für Migration und Integration und der Sparkasse.

Die Veranstaltung wird in englischer Sprache stattfinden.
